VXB-4

Features:  Frame is made of 1/4" X 1" 6061 aircraft grade anodized aluminum.  In 2017 we upgraded our shadow netting to #64 coated nylon.  The new netting is much more durable than previous years. We also added bungee cord for the inner circle drawstring which allows the inner circle to be more uniform during use.  This model also comes with galvanized/ poly-coated cables and a new shock absorbing ring. Finally, it comes with a 9 pound sand bag for stability.

Benefits:   The VXB-4 is the smallest trainer in the VX-Series of products. It plays a vital role in creating tangible space for enhancing strike recognition for hitters. This implicit trainer engages the hitters brain directly and provides necessary non-verbal spatial information relative to mastering strike recognition on game day.  It can be used independently or in combination with the VXB-5 during training or live bp on the field. (Added Value) All of our trainers are universal and come with the necessary components for converting hitting pieces into pitching pieces and vise versa. This is a tremendous benefit for customers on a tight budget.  The VX-3 comes with a 2 year manufactures warranty on all aluminum and steel parts.    This piece comes with a User's Manual and a visual aid for demonstrating the areas of focus during training. Watch the VXB-4 assembly video to gain tips on how to assemble.  Allow 5-7 days for delivery.

Our game, really, revolves around one axis, one main premise; swing at strikes, take balls. I know this sounds crazy but I have struggled with the EXACT best term to use when describing the ability of a hitter to differentiate between a pitch that is a strike and one that is a ball. Pitch recognition isn’t really correct. Most in the game think of pitch recognition as a hitter recognizing the difference between a drop, rise, curve, screw, change, etc. At the core of the response is does a hitter initiate locomotion, does the hitter recognize a pitch, any pitch, as a strike and swing at it? So, strike recognition seems to be the most logical term to use. But how do we describe it? How do we quantify it? And most importantly, how to we improve it.  It takes an implicit approach to training, one that allows the hitters brain to make the needed adjustments for timing (pre-swing) not during the swing.
